 Who is a lawyer?

The lawyer is the person who has the judiciary knowledge about the subject and is practically aware of the situation, based on that he/she is able to defend his client. They fight for the rights of peoples. The law system has been adopted from British culture. It’s being followed in India to date. The lawyer acts as a hierarchy between the judiciary and the normal person. They are the people who are able to understand human physiology and the nature of the crime that occurred during the situation.

 How to become a lawyer

The lawyer should have the determination to serve people and provide justice as who has bettered him/her, to point out his view and to be phrased by legal terms moreover provide a similar case study or situation which has occurred earlier, so that it acts as a reference case to view his point and situation. 

They are  two  types of LLB in India, an integrated 5-year program and 3-year program of graduation.

CLAT entrance exam which means Common law Admission Test.

What is CLAT?

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level entrance exam managed to give admission to applicants in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered at 22 NLUs and other colleges/ universities accepting exam scores.

The CLAT question paper for UG courses comprises 150 comprehension-based multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from five subjects including-

 

     English Language

     Current Affairs

     General Knowledge

     Legal Reasoning

     Logical Reasoning

     Quantitative Techniques

 

On the other hand, the CLAT PG question paper includes both objective and subjective questions from different Law topics such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Criminal Law, Company Law, Law of Contract.

CLAT Eligibility 2021 For UG:

To appear in CLAT exam for UG course admissions, candidates need to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

     Candidates should complete Class 12 or equivalent examination from the national or state board of education.

     Candidates should obtain a minimum of 45% aggregate marks if belonging to General/ Other Backward Class (OBC)/ Specially-abled category and 40 percent aggregate if belonging to Scheduled Class (SC)/  Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

     There is no upper age limit to apply for CLAT 2021 as the Bar Council of India (BCI) has removed the upper or lower age limit criteria for admissions to law courses.

     Candidates should be above 20 years to be eligible for this course.

 

CLAT Eligibility 2021 For PG:

CLAT entrance the exam which means Common law Admission Test. They are two types of LLB in India, an integrated 5-year program and a 3-year program of graduation. To appear for the CLAT exam for PG course admissions, candidates need to fulfill the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

 

     Candidates should obtain an LLB degree from a recognized university.

     Candidates should obtain a minimum of 50 percent aggregate if belonging to General/ OBC/ Specially-able category and 45 percent aggregate if belonging to SC/ ST category

     There is no upper age limit to apply for CLAT.

     Candidates should be above 20 years to be eligible for this course.

Pursuing law after 12th

If you have a great interest in becoming a lawyer, then you can apply for a bachelor's degree in  LLB, they should be recognized under the bar council of India.

Pursuing law after graduation 

     Most law schools accept any bachelor’s degree, but in some cases like, you wish to become a business lawyer, then you may need an undergraduate degree in a business field.

     Also, most law schools in India has prioritized CLAT / LSAT.
